Congreve House, Walton on the Hill

If you have anything you wish the committee to discuss please let the Chairman know.

July 2018  Another great day out.  Visited Carnforth Station used in the filming of "Brief Encounter" for coffee break and a look round the Heritage Centre before moving on to Leighton Hall for lunch and a tour of the house - home of the Gillow furniture makers.  Finally some of us watched the falcons flying.

Hilary, Nadia, James & Ewan await the arrival of the hoards at our 25th Birthday Celebrations on

19th December 2017.

A great time was had by all!

It is with great sadness that I have to report the death on 21st November, of Joan Moore who has been a member of our committee  for 20 years.

We will miss Joan, as will the many other local organisation with which she has been involved over the years.

We send our condolences to her husband Bob, her son & daughter and her grandchildren.

Had a great day out at Bosworth Battle Field and Leicester Richard III visitor centre and Catherdral yesterday (25th July) in great weather.  Worth a visit if you have never been.  Traffic in Leicester at 5 p.m not good!

We would like to say a big thank you to Sally at Penkridge Hardware in the Square at Penkridge.  She is selling our books along with many other history books published by local societies.
